The Adventures of Robin Hood

Filmed completely on location in England, this was the most successful series produced on the famous character in English literature, appearing originally on the CBS Network. The series tells the story of the legendary 12th-Century hero who, together with his band of men, stole from the rich and gave to the poor. They made their home deep in the woods of Sherwood Forest, while evading capture by the Sheriff of Nottingham and Prince John. Most of Robin’s exploits involved attemtps to oust Prine John, the hated ruler of Nottingham. Robin’s true love, Maid Marian, was a member of Prince John’s court who provided Robin with important information that kept him one step ahead of his pursuers.
